About the Proof of Concept

On July 19, 2026, we brought She Too Bad for History to life with a proof of concept that exceeded every expectation.

What was scheduled to be a 12-hour production was completed in just 7 hours, thanks to an incredibly talented cast and crew who came prepared, stayed focused, and gave everything they had. It was one of the smoothest and most rewarding film shoots I've ever directed, and it gave me complete confidence that this feature is ready for the next step.

This proof of concept represents more than a short film. It is the foundation for the feature film and a glimpse into the world we're building.

This film was created through the Digital Storytelling Initiative at the University of Chicago, in partnership with the Community Film Workshop. Production equipment was generously provided by the Logan Media Center, and our filming location was made possible through Midway Studios and the Creative Writing Department at the University of Chicago.
